Coverage and methodology for .TRUST data
Complete zone-file coverage. The .TRUST registry publishes its zone file through ICANN's Centralized Zone Data Service (CZDS). AllZonefiles.io downloads the complete .TRUST zone file every day and extracts every domain name in it. Registered domains absent from the zone file, such as domains without nameservers or on hold, are not included, and presence in the zone does not confirm a working website.
Monthly totals. Each month's total is the domain count on the last available day of that month; the current month shows the latest snapshot.
New and expired domains. Each day's zone file is compared with the previous snapshot: names that appear are counted as new, names that disappear as removed. Monthly figures are sums of these daily counts, so a domain that leaves the zone and returns is counted again. The first month of data and the current month are partial and marked in the tables.
Freshness. The daily update target is 9 AM UTC. Use each file's snapshot date when scheduling imports or comparing archives; delivery can be affected by source delays.
For reproducible analysis, record the zone, snapshot date, downloaded filename, and filtering rules. Usage is subject to our dataset license; enterprise and redistribution licensing is available separately.
