Terms of Service
Last updated:
These Terms govern AllZonefiles.io and its dataset services, operated by SoftDev LLC, a Washington state company (UBI 605 367 903), based in Seattle, Washington, United States ("we," "us," or "our"). "You" means the individual using the service or the organization on whose behalf that individual acts.
1. Agreement and authority
By agreeing to these Terms when registering or purchasing, you enter into an agreement with SoftDev LLC. You must have legal capacity to enter into the agreement and authority to act for any organization you represent. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the subscription service.
A separately agreed written enterprise agreement or order controls where it conflicts with these Terms. Our Privacy Policy describes personal-information handling; agreeing to these Terms does not provide consent for optional analytics or marketing.
2. The service and dataset limitations
We provide downloadable domain datasets and related information. Datasets, historical coverage, formats, and download limits depend on the plan and descriptions presented when you purchase. See Datasets and Pricing.
Domain lists do not guarantee complete coverage of every registered domain or an active website at each domain. "New" and "expired" or removed-domain lists describe changes observed in available sources; they do not independently establish a registration date, legal expiration, deletion, or availability for registration. Verify current status before acting on a domain.
Our published daily update target is 9 AM UTC. Source delays, outages, and corrections can affect delivery. This target is not a service-level guarantee; contractual service levels must be separately agreed in writing. Historical coverage varies by dataset and date.
3. Plan eligibility
Basic ($39/month) and Pro ($79/month) are for individuals and organizations with fewer than five full-time employees, using data internally. Count the organization's total full-time employees, including full-time employed founders, rather than only people downloading or using data.
Organizations with five or more full-time employees need a Business or Enterprise agreement. Redistribution or customer-facing data products require a separate license regardless of company size. See Data Licensing or Contact Sales.
Provide accurate eligibility information. The same employee threshold applies to existing subscribers: when your organization reaches five full-time employees, it becomes subject to Business or Enterprise licensing. Contact Sales promptly at that point to arrange the transition; eligibility does not wait until the next subscription renewal. If your intended use changes, contact us before starting the new use. For contractors, affiliates, or work for clients, describe the organizations and intended use to Sales so the licensed scope can be confirmed. Individual accounts must not bypass an organization's licensing requirements.
Notice of changes to these Terms is governed by section 11. Once this eligibility rule applies to your subscription, reaching the employee threshold triggers it without a further change to the Terms. Enterprise pricing must be separately agreed; reaching the threshold does not authorize an automatic enterprise charge or retroactive repricing of a completed billing period.
4. Your dataset license
Subject to payment, plan limits, and these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download included datasets and store, copy, process, and analyze them for your own internal purposes. This includes internal commercial research, security, analytics, and development. The license covers your organization's authorized internal users, while credentials must remain protected.
You may report aggregate findings that do not disclose domain-level records or allow a recipient to reconstruct a substantial part of a dataset. Reselling, sublicensing, publishing, or distributing dataset records, providing download or API access to others, and incorporating records into customer-facing products require a separate written license. Reformatting or enriching records does not by itself remove this requirement.
Ordinary cancellation or non-renewal ends access to new downloads at the end of the paid period. You may retain and use files lawfully downloaded during that period for the same permitted internal purposes, subject to the continuing license restrictions. This does not grant future updates or broader distribution rights. Separate enterprise agreements may set different retention or end-of-contract requirements.
We and our licensors retain applicable rights in the service and dataset compilations. We do not claim ownership of third parties' domain names or trademarks. No rights are granted beyond those expressly described here or in a separate agreement.
5. Accounts and responsible use
Keep account and billing information accurate, protect credentials and access tokens, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for use you authorize and reasonable steps to secure your account.
Do not bypass access controls or download limits, share credentials outside the licensed organization, disrupt the service, or use data for unlawful activity, unsolicited communications prohibited by law, unauthorized access, or infringement of others' rights. Automated downloads must comply with plan limits and supported access methods.
A dataset license does not authorize access to third-party systems or websites. You are responsible for permissions and the legal basis required for your processing, outreach, and other downstream uses.
6. Billing and automatic renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the billing interval and price disclosed at checkout unless canceled before the next renewal. By authorizing a recurring subscription at checkout, you authorize the payment provider to collect those recurring charges. Checkout or your agreed order identifies applicable charges and taxes before purchase.
Stripe or PayPal handles payments. Features, allowances, and any trial or promotional conditions are those disclosed with the offer you accept. Failed payments may interrupt paid access. A price change for an existing subscription will be communicated before it applies to a future renewal, with an opportunity to cancel.
7. Cancellation and billing questions
Cancel automatic renewal from your account subscription page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and paid access continues until then unless access is suspended for a breach or another lawful reason. Cancel before the renewal date shown in your account to avoid the next recurring charge.
If you cannot access the cancellation control, contact support. Cancellation does not itself request a refund or delete your account. We review refund requests case by case; contact us with your account email, the relevant charge, and the reason for your request. A discretionary refund is not guaranteed. Refund terms specifically agreed at purchase and mandatory cancellation, refund, or consumer rights continue to apply; these Terms do not exclude those rights.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access for nonpayment, a material breach, a legal requirement, or a credible security or abuse risk. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it; urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action.
If we terminate your dataset license for a material breach, stop the use covered by that license and delete the affected dataset copies, except records you are legally required to retain. Such retained records must not be used for other purposes. Ordinary cancellation is governed by sections 4 and 7.
9. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law and except for express commitments in a separate agreement, the service and datasets are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant uninterrupted access, complete or error-free data, fitness for a particular purpose, or that a listed domain is safe, active, or available to register.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost profits, business opportunities, or data. This exclusion does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer protections or other non-waivable rights.
10. Questions and disputes
Please contact SoftDev LLC with your account email and details of a concern so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from exercising legal rights, contacting a regulator, or seeking remedies available under applicable law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We will publish revisions with an updated date. For material changes affecting an existing paid subscription, we will provide notice before changes apply and an opportunity to cancel before a subsequent renewal. We will obtain additional agreement where required by law. Changes do not retroactively alter rights or charges for a completed billing period or override a separately agreed contract.
Provisions that by their nature continue after a subscription ends-including restrictions on retained data, outstanding payment obligations, and applicable liability provisions-continue to apply.
