September-October 2026: new website and historical download allowances

In September we launched a redesigned public website with a dataset catalog, a historical domain data section, and use-case guides that come with ready-to-run Python scripts. Historical downloads on the Pro plan now have a monthly allowance, shown on the pricing page; you can check what is left on the Download History page in your account or through the API, which now also has an OpenAPI specification. Stripe subscribers can update their payment card from the Subscription & Billing page, and the home page now charts total domains month by month. As of October 8, the dataset holds 385.4 million domain names.

July-August 2026: PayPal payments and deeper zone analytics

You can now pay for the Basic and Pro plans with PayPal, in addition to card payments through Stripe. Zone pages for selected TLDs, such as .NET and .APP, now include in-depth analytics: registration trends, domain age and lifespan, an 18-month expiration forecast, registrar breakdowns, and domain name statistics. The new and expired domain list pages also show daily statistics for each zone. The dataset ended August at 381.7 million domain names.

May-June 2026: new user area, Pro plan and CZDS zone files

June brought our biggest release of the year: a redesigned user area that puts your downloads, API token, subscription, and download history in one place. The new Pro plan unlocks historical domain lists, and subscribers can now download original ICANN CZDS zone files for gTLDs. The all domain lists page lets you filter zones by type and category, and in May we launched the AllZonefiles.io blog. The dataset grew by more than 10 million domains in June alone, reaching 376.7 million domain names.

March-April 2026: extended datasets, free samples and PDF invoices

Extended domain datasets launched in March: CSV files for selected zones with registration dates, registrar details, and nameservers. You can now download PDF invoices for your payments from your account. In April, zone pages gained a free sample file you can download after signing in, and many now include a short description of the zone with links to related zones. The dataset reached 363.5 million domain names by the end of April.

January-February 2026: new research, guides and API examples

We started the year with new research and guides: ICANN CZDS vs AllZonefiles.io, What is ICANN?, and an analysis of 160 million .COM domains. The API documentation now includes ready-to-use code examples for downloading individual zone files and the ZIP archive with all zones. By the end of February the dataset held 356.4 million domain names.

Massive dataset update - added 40M new domains, reached 352M domains in the dataset overall

We're excited to announce a major expansion of the AllZonefiles.io domain dataset.

Over the past few days (late December 2025), we integrated a new data source focused on ccTLD coverage, resulting in one of the largest single updates in our history.

• +40 million new domains added
• Total dataset size: 352 million domain names, up from 312M (gTLD + ccTLD combined)
• ccTLD coverage: nearly 114 million domains, up from 74M

The majority of newly added domains come from ccTLD zones, which are traditionally the hardest to discover and maintain at scale. This update significantly strengthens our international and country-level coverage.
